Friars Boot Leading Scorer, Rebounder

Jamine Peterson has been dismissed from the Providence College basketball team for a violation of team rules.  Peterson was the Friars leading scorer (19.6 ppg) and rebounder (10.2 rpg) last season earned All- Big East Honorable Mention as a sophomore. 

Peterson began to blossom late last season and the 6’6” forward proved to be a dominating rebounder despite his lack of height.  The loss of Peterson is a big blow to a PC team that was expected to be much improved next season. 

Peterson's final appearance for PC was one to remember.  His 38 points and 16 rebounds in the Friars first round Big East Tournament loss to Seton Hall was arguably the best individual performance by anyone in the 2010 Tournament.
