Kelly makes it official

Cincinnati's Brian Kelly was officially introduced as the new head coach of Notre Dame Friday ending weeks of speculation. Kelly becomes only the second coach to leave his team prior to a BCS bowl (Rich Rodriguez in 2007) and will follow Charlie Weis as head coach of the storied Irish program. The news was neither surprising nor celebrated in Cincinnati. WR Mardy Gilyard and other members of the Bearcats' team were openly critical of Kelly Thursday night following a team meeting.
